KSP: Elkton man facing several charges after vehicle theft

ELKTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An Elkton man is facing several charges after Kentucky State Police say he was found with a stolen vehicle while under the influence.

KSP say just after 12 p.m. Saturday, a deputy observed a vehicle that was reported stolen, sitting in the parking lot of New Harmony Church.

The deputy made contact with the individual, 36-year-old Patrick Crafton, of Elkton, and suspected him to be under the influence. After a series of tests, the deputy determined Crafton was under the influence and in possession of multiple pills.

The deputy also discovered Crafton had stolen a generator, which he was able to recover.

Crafton was arrested and charged with: TBUT or Disposition Auto $500 or more but under $10,000, Driving on DUI Suspended License 1st Offense, DUI 2nd Offense, TCS 3rd Degree 1st Offense Less than 20 DU-Drug Unspecified, and TBUT all Others $500 or More but Under $10,000.

Crafton was lodged in the Todd County Detention Center.
