KSP: Child hospitalized with bite marks, drugs in system
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lawrenceburg woman is arrested after her child was brought to the hospital with bite marks on him and drugs in his system, according to Kentucky State Police.
State Police say the three-year-old boy was brought to Franklin Medical Regional Center on May 14.
Medical staff called investigators after it was discovered the child had human bite marks and bruising on his body and methamphetamine and marijuana in his system
The child’s mother, 36-year-old Dawn Baker, was arrested on May 20 and booked into the Franklin County Detention Center on criminal abuse and wanton endangerment charges.
State Police say Baker’s boyfriend, James Stratton, was taken into custody on Monday.
He is also charged with criminal abuse and wanton endangerment.
The boy is out of the hospital and being cared for by relatives, according to State Police.
