KSP charges Jefferson Co. man with child sexual exploitation offenses

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) —  Kentucky State Police have arrested a man for using electronics to pursue sexual acts with a minor.

Police arrested 41-year-old Johnathan Hoyer after discovering that Hoyer had solicited and traveled for illegal sexual acts with a juvenile under the age of 15.

Investigators say a search warrant was done on Hoyer’s car, where electronic equipment used to facilitate the crime was taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Hoyer is currently charged with one count of prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor/ peace officer regarding sex offense.
