KSP capture wanted fugitive from Texas

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State police had say a traffic stop turned into a pursuit through downtown Lexington, and ended with them arresting a wanted fugitive from Texas.

Officers say they tried to stop a blue 200 Mitsubishi on Monday, April 8 at around 12:30 a.m. for minor traffic offenses.  They say the driver of the car refused to stop, and led them on a 14-mile pursuit starting from Main Street and stretching all the way to Liberty Road. And New Circle Road.

When they were able to get the car stopped, officers say they discovered the driver, 19-year-old Eddie Alexis Perez of Dallas, Texas, was wanted on charges of Probation Violation. 

Perez was arrested and taken to the Fayette Co. Detention center.  Officers say local charges are pending.
