KSP: Baby found dead in trash bag in Clay County

MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police launch a death investigation after the body of a newborn baby is discovered in a trash bag on the front porch of a home.

The grim discovery was made at a home on Ham Hollow Road in Manchester around 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, according to police.

State Police say investigators are on the scene.

The baby’s body is being sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

Police say the cause and time of death are pending the autopsy.
