KSP asking for help identifying cold case homicide victim

DRY  RIDGE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are hoping a new digitally enhanced photo of the victim of a 1989 homicide will help identify him.

Troopers say the photo was created using technology provided by the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.

According to officers, the victim was somewhere between 20-30 years old, stood 6’4″, and weighed about 220 pounds.  The man’s body was found in a tobacco barn on KY HWY 22 in Grant Co.

Police say the body was partially decomposed, and that both hands had been cut off.  Investigators believe the homicide actually occurred somewhere else, and then the body was brought to the barn.

Anyone with any information that might help identify the victim is asked to call Kentucky State Police at (859) 428-1212.
