KSP Angel Initiative Helps Connect People to Addiction Treatment

FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Kentucky State Police Angel Initiative is providing a proactive pathway to treatment for individuals struggling with addiction, officials said.

Through the initiative, anyone seeking help can visit any Kentucky State Police post to receive assistance in finding a treatment center, without fear of arrest or judgment.

KSP officials say the Angel Initiative has already connected 281 individuals with treatment resources across the state.

“Every life matters,” officials said, noting the program’s goal is to offer support and hope to those battling substance use disorders.
