Kroger employee cut while trying to stop accused shoplifter

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A store employee at a Lexington Kroger was cut on the face after police say she tried to stop an accused shoplifter.

It happened around two Saturday morning at the Kroger on Bryan Station Road. Officers called it a "shoplifting situation gone bad".

They say the employee has serious injuries but they’re not life-threatening. The suspect got away and police are working to identify him.
