Kroger closing draws protests
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Kroger in Lexington is about to close its doors, and some customers are not happy about it.
There was a protest Monday outside the Kroger on Romany Road with a petition drive to keep it open. Kroger representatives, however, say the store has been losing money since 2008.
103 people work at the Romany Road location, and Kroger says it will offer them jobs in other Kroger stores.
