KR Health Department warns of COVID exposure at diner, bingo
HAZARD, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky River District Health Department has issued two advisories for potential exposure to the coronavirus in community places.
According to the district, an employee Frances’ Diner in Hazard has tested positive for COVID 19. People who visited the restaurant on October 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th may have been exposed.
The management of Frances’ Diner is “fully cooperating” with the Health Department, the department said.
In addition, the Health Department announced a person tested positive who attended Bingo at the VFW Post 7387 at 1700 Main St. in Hazard on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Anyone who attended bingo on that date may have been exposed. The VFW also is cooperating and has suspended operations until Oct. 20.
In both cases, people are encouraged monitor their health for symptoms including fever, coughing, shortness of breath, changes in the sensation of taste or smell, or gastro-intestinal upset.
