Knox County death ruled drowning

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- State Police say Friday afternoon, a utility worker found a man in a ditch on highway 3439 and Stephen Trace Road.

The coroner identified the man as 42-year-old Robert Saunders from Barbourville.

According to KSP, the medical examiner ruled the death an apparent drowning.

Troopers say they think it’s accidental and they’re waiting for toxicology results.
