Knife-wielding suspect accused of burglary

DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 44-year-old man is accused of breaking into a neighbor’s home armed with a knife.

According to Danville Police, Mikhail Aleksey Chetverukhin, who lives in a unit at 226 Wilderness Road, was arrested at about 3 p.m. Tuesday when officers responded to a call of a home invasion in progress at Apartment 2 at that address. He is charged with burglary and resisting arrest.

The victim told 911 dispatchers a man had kicked in the door to her apartment and was armed with a large knife.According to police, the woman told officers the man lived upstairs in her building. Officers made entry into the upstairs apartment and found Chetverukhin.

Located near Chetverukhin in the apartment was a large kitchen knife that was identified by the victim as the knife he was holding when he entered her apartment, according to police.

According to Boyle County Detention Center records, no bond had been set as of 5 p.m. Tuesday.
