Kidnapping, Rape Charges for New York Man Arrested in Richmond
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Richmond say a Sinclairville, New York man is in the Madison County Detention Center, charged with unlawful imprisonment, kidnapping, and rape.
The Richmond Register reports that 56-year-old Kenneth Anderson was found at the Days Inn on Tuesday, November 8th, along with a woman who had been reported missing from New York.
The paper says officers received tips that the woman was in the area and possibly in danger.
When she was found, the Richmond Register says the victim told officers she was scared of Anderson, and not allowed to leave his sight. According to the paper, Anderson would tie the woman up, if he thought she was going to leave.
A restraining order from New York was immediately served, barring any contact between Anderson and the woman.
Police say Anderson is also a suspect in another missing person case from 8 years ago, when his ex-wife disappeared. She is presumed dead, according to New York State Police.
