Kidnapping, assault charges for Scottsville man
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) -Kentucky State Police say a man has been arrested after they say he assaulted a woman and held her against her will.
Officers say they received a report Wednesday evening just before 6:00 p.m. from a woman saying that her daughter had been assaulted and was getting treatment at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
When police arrived, they say they were able to determine that the woman had been assaulted, and that she had been held for “a period of time.” Officers say they also discovered the reported attacker had a Domestic Violence Order against him.
With this information, Troopers obtained a search warrant for a home on Hade Bell Road. When they got there, they arrested 38-year-old Wendell Jackson. Officers say they also found a handgun, suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the home.
Jackson was taken to the Allen County Detention Center and charged with assault, kidnapping, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, violation of a DVO, and possession charges.
