KET launches videos to help state workforce development

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- KET and Kentucky’s Education and Workforce Development Cabinet are working together on a new resource to help state workforce development efforts.

In Demand is a collection of videos and a website that offer information on types of high-demand career sectors in the state: advanced manufacturing, business & IT, construction, healthcare, and transportation & logistics.

According to the state, Kentucky is currently facing a shortage of highly skilled workers to fill the approximately 115,000 open jobs.

The videos are available at all 61 Kentucky Career Centers locations throughout the state.

You can also visit the companion website, available at KET.org/InDemand, for more resources.
