Kentucky women’s hoops picks up third straight win

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky’s defense looked strong in a 76-42 win over Wofford on Tuesday night at Historical Memorial Coliseum.

The cats held the terriers to just 20.3% shooting from the field and 16.7% from behind the arc. Kentucky totaled 51 rebounds, 10 blocks, five steals and 20 assists.

The blue and white shot 46.2% from the field and made exactly 1/3 of their three-pointers. They were led by senior Dazia Lawrence with 19 points. Another standout was sophomore Clara Strack. She finished with 16 points, 15 rebounds and five assists.

There was room for offensive improvement, though. Kentucky’s offensive rebounding didn’t look strong, and their 14 turnovers were definitely not a highlight statistic.

Next up #20 Kentucky hosts #18 Louisville on Saturday at 6 pm.
