Kentucky women’s basketball earns No. 6 ranking in AP Roll, highest in the Kenny Brooks era

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – After a 2-0 start in conference play, Kentucky moved up to No. 6 in the latest AP Top 25 poll, its highest ranking of the Kenny Brooks era in Lexington.

The Wildcats opened conference play with an 80-78 win over LSU on Jan. 1 on a game-winning 3-pointer, then followed with a 74-52 home victory against Missouri on Jan. 4.

Tonie Morgan led Kentucky in both games. She finished with 24 points and 12 assists against LSU, then recorded 18 points and 14 assists against Missouri.
