Kentucky Women Defeat Marist 75-61 In Season Opener
The Kentucky women’s basketball team won its season opener on Friday 75-61 over Marist in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Senior Kastine Evans scored a team-high 15-points and grabbed 8-rebounds for Kentucky. It’s the most points she’s scored in a game in two years.
Senior Samarie Walker added 12-points and pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds. She also had a team-high three steals.
Sophomore Janee Thompson finished with 13-points, which was just one shy of her career high.
All 11 Wildcats in uniform played. Freshman Makayla Epps did not play due to a stomach virus.
Kentucky continues its two-game road trip in New York with a game against Wagner on Sunday, November 10th at 1:00 p.m. ET.
