Kentucky volleyball to play Penn State at Wrigley Field in 2026

CHICAGO, Il. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky volleyball is set to face the Penn State Nittany Lions on Sunday, Sept. 6, in a historic outdoor match at Wrigley Field as part of the inaugural SEC/Big Ten Volleyball Challenge.

The match will be televised on FOX. First serve is scheduled for either 7 p.m. ET or 9 p.m. ET, with the official start time to be announced later.

The event will also feature the Nebraska Cornhuskers against the Missouri Tigers in the second showcase match. Start times for both contests will be confirmed at a later date.

The Chicago Cubs will host the event at Wrigley Field, marking the first time the stadium has staged a volleyball match.

Tickets will be sold through the Cubs’ ticket office. Public sales begin Thursday, April 9, at 11 a.m. ET via the team’s website.
