Kentucky U.S. Coast Guard Reservists assist with Louisiana recovery efforts
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – U.S. Coast Guard Reservists from Kentucky are assisting with recovery efforts in Louisiana following Hurricane Ida.
Among them is Robert Ward who is a reservist with Station Louisville.
The U.S. Coast Guard Heartland shared several images on social media. The post reads, “While conducting facility security checks post-Hurricane Ida, U.S. Coast Guard members observed an elderly gentleman alongside the road with a sign requesting help. The team assisted the man with placing a blue tarp over his roof after he explained his roof was damaged during #HurricaneIda. The gentleman was very thankful for the assistance! Bravo Zulu ME1 Ward, BM1 Sanchez and ME2 Kaltenbach!”
