Kentucky State Police issue IAN Alert for missing 17-year-old with autism in Lexington

UPDATE 1:15 PM: Jahmari has been found safe and is being reunited with his family.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police and the Lexington Police Department have issued an IAN Alert for a missing and endangered 17-year-old in Lexington.

Officials say Jahmari Deshaun Carter was last seen in the 400 block of Conley Street at approximately 9:53 a.m. Wednesday.

Carter is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities say he is autistic.

IAN Alerts are issued when a child under the age of 18 with autism or a mental illness goes missing and may be in danger.

Anyone with information about Carter’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 or contact local law enforcement.
