Kentucky State Police investigating disappearance of Laurel County woman

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the disappearance of a Laurel County woman who has been missing for more than a week.

According to the Kentucky State Police, 45-year-old Ida J. Hicks of London was last seen around 7 p.m. on January 11. Troopers say she was last known to be in the area of Highway 30 near the Laurel–Jackson County line.

Hicks is described as about 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds. She has blue eyes and brown, shoulder-length hair. Police say a clothing description is not available at this time.
