Kentucky State Police investigates fatal collision involving man reported missing in Laurel County
LONDON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – One man is dead following a fatal crash in Laurel County, Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police says it happened just before 5:45 p.m. Sunday (4/28) on McWhorter Road in Laurel County.
According to preliminary investigations, KSP says the collision involved a 2003 Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle operated by Trevor R. Waskom, 21 years old, of London, Kentucky. Waskom was traveling on McWhorter Road when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle, veering off the road and colliding with a tree.
KSP says the impact of the collision resulted in life-threatening injuries for Waskom, who passed away from his injuries at the scene. The Laurel County Coroner’s office pronounced him deceased. Notably, Waskom had been reported missing by his family on April 26, 2024.
