Kentucky snags Alabama SF Mouhamed Dioubate
TUSCALOOSA, Al. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky basketball picked up another big name from the transfer portal on Monday night. This time, from a team that beat the cats three times this season.
6-foot-7 junior small forward Mouhamed Dioubate from Alabama is now a wildcat.
Dioubate averaged 7.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, while shooting 61.7% from the field and 46.2% from the three last season with the tide.
He also contributed in all three of Kentucky’s losses to Alabama this year. Dioubate went for eight points, eight rebounds, three assists and a steal in Alabama’s first win over Kentucky at Rupp Arena. He then put up four points, five rebounds and a block in the series sweep weeks later in Tuscaloosa. Additionally, the forward had 13 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and a steal in Alabama’s dominant win over Kentucky in the SEC Tournament.
