Kentucky River clean sweep on Saturday

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky River Clean Sweep will take place Saturday, at the Kentucky River in the southeastern part of Fayette County.

Volunteers will need to go out in boats to clean up litter and trash from the river from 9 a.m. – noon.

You will need to go to Clays Ferry boat dock, Old Richmond Rd. under the I-75 bridge.

Directions:

If traveling by GPS, use 9079 Old Richmond Rd. The River Sweep location will be on the right just before Proud Mary BBQ.

From downtown Lexington, take East Vine St. to Richmond Rd. Follow Richmond Rd. to I-75 South and take exit 99 toward the Clays Ferry Bridge. Turn right off the exit and travel just under one mile. The River Sweep location will be on the right.
