Kentucky Principal of the Year announced

FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – A Fayette County High School principal has been named the 2024 Kentucky Principal of the Year.
Bryan Station High School head principal, Eric Hale, has been given the award this year.
The award recognizes Hale’s outstanding leadership and dedication to educational excellence.
His school serves over 2,000 students from more than 40 countries in the world. Under Hale’s leadership, graduation rates and academic performance among students has substantially improved. Postsecondary readiness numbers have also reached new highs.
“This is a team award and not a solo recognition,” Hale said.
Hale says that it is an exciting time to oversee, ‘Station Nation’.
“Our students, faculty, administration, and school community are collectively focused on creating a school culture of positive student outcomes, and our work is far from finished,” Hale said.
The high school principal will now represent Kentucky in the national competition for the 2025 National Principal of the Year Award, which is organized by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).
