Pre-K for All advisory committee director to outline early childhood plan

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The executive director of Kentucky’s Pre-K for All Advisory Committee is set to highlight the benefits of Gov. Andy Beshear’s early childhood initiative during an event Wednesday morning in Louisville.

Sam Flynn is scheduled to speak at 8:30 a.m. at the Goodwill West Louisville Opportunity Center on West Broadway. According to the Governor’s Office, the presentation will focus on how expanded early learning opportunities could support children, families, and Kentucky’s workforce.

Gov. Beshear created the Pre-K for All Advisory Committee on June 4, 2025, through executive order. The group brings together leaders from education, child care, workforce development, government and the business community.

The committee’s job is to review successful state-funded pre-kindergarten programs across the country and make recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly on how Kentucky could implement a voluntary Pre-K program of its own.

State officials say more information about the initiative is available at pre-k-4-all.ky.gov.
