Kentucky Power to donate truck to rescue squad

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky Power is donating a truck slated for retirement to the Floyd County Emergency and Rescue Squad, according to Kentucky Power.

Since its formation in 1958, the Floyd County Emergency and Rescue Squad hasn’t received tax funding and is allowed only in-kind donations.  The restrictions keep the squad from purchasing new or used trucks.

The donation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 21 at 10:00 a.m. in Prestonsburg, according to Kentucky Power.
