Kentucky popcorn product being offered at minor league parks

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky agriculture officials are urging baseball fans to support the "home team" by snacking on Kentucky Proud Popcorn at three minor league ballparks this season.

Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner James Comer says Kentucky Proud Popcorn will make its debut at Louisville Bats games at Slugger Field this season.

He says the product has already been a hit at home games of the Lexington Legends and Florence Freedom.

Kentucky Proud Popcorn is made from corn grown by western Kentucky farm families and processed in Murray by Preferred Popcorn.

Officials say the Kentucky minor league parks will post signs at concession stands to promote Kentucky Proud Popcorn. The signs will include images of two of the farm families that grow the popcorn.
