Kentucky physicians gather in Frankfort to challenge state abortion bans
FRANKFORT, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A group of Kentucky physicians gathered in Frankfort to challenge the state’s abortion bans.
Health officials representing 600 Kentucky physicians and allied health providers called for an appeal of Kentucky’s abortion laws during the event.
One physician addressed how the bans are affecting the medical industry, saying the restrictions have created challenges for providers and patients across the state.
Organizers say this marks the third year Kentucky doctors have come together to publicly challenge the state’s abortion bans.
The issue continues to be debated in Kentucky’s courts and legislature.
