Nick Robinson joins as Director of Operations and Randy Towner comes on as Strength Coach

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Head Coach Mark Pope has hired two more staff members for his first season at Kentucky men’s basketball.

Nick Robinson joins the program as the Director of Operations after his time at BYU. In Provo, Robinson was the Cougars’ assistant coach from 2019 to 2024.

“Nick Robinson has worked in college basketball in every capacity from being a special assistant to the head coach to the head coach himself,” Pope said. “He’s had incredible success, worked in every area of the country, has a great track record and an incredible future in front of him.”

Towner comes from the Milwaukee Bucks and has worked in several college basketball organizations.

Pope and Towner spent time together at Utah Valley as well.

“Our guys are blessed to have (Randy) here. He has a ton of juice, a wealth of expertise and will embrace what Kentucky basketball is all about,” said Pope.
