Kentucky man sentenced to over 27 years for producing child pornography
MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Richmond man will spend more than 27 years in federal prison for producing child pornography.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 37-year-old Derek Hahn was sentenced Monday to 330 months behind bars after pleading guilty to charges related to the production of child pornography.
In his plea agreement, Hahn admitted to recording explicit videos involving children and uploading them through a messaging app online.
Federal investigators say the case underscores the seriousness of crimes involving the exploitation of children and the use of online platforms to distribute illegal content.
Hahn will be required to register as a sex offender and faces supervised release following his prison term.
