Kentucky man credited for saving Black Bear Cub

HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man from Kentucky is getting credit for helping rescue a black bear cub. The 13 month old bear cub weighing in at 10 pounds.

The Appalachian Bear Rescue says the bear was found by a group of people in Black Mountain in south eastern Kentucky.

They found the bear in a ditch and flagged down someone from the Kentucky Department of Transportation.

The cub was eventually transported to the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and is in good condition.
