Kentucky lawmakers return to Frankfort for summer and fall sessions
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lawmakers are back in Frankfort today as the Kentucky General Assembly begins its summer and fall interim session.
According to state officials, legislators will use this time to review policy issues, hold interim joint committee meetings, and prepare for upcoming legislative work. The interim period also includes newly approved task forces and opportunities to gather public input and hear from experts.
One of the key focuses during this session will be early work on the next state budget and Kentucky’s road plan.
