Kentucky launches first interactive workforce dashboard
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The state has launched a new tool it says will give a clearer picture of its workforce.
The Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet launched the first interactive workforce dashboard in the state.
It’s a partnership with the Kentucky Center for Statistics and Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board.
The cabinet says the dashboard is an interactive tool designed to display real-time workforce information.
Among the information is collects: workforce participation rate, job openings, unemployment rate, employers offering apprenticeships, percent of working age adults without a high school diploma and a breakdown of workforce-related funding by local workforce area.
The cabinet says the data collected allows the state to create a strategy for using workforce development resources throughout the Commonwealth.
It also provides a roadmap for how employers, partners, and local workforce development boards can effectively align resources to connect individuals seeking employment with open jobs and training opportunities.
