Kentucky Labor Cabinet hosting free worker training

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Labor Cabinet is conducting free training courses later this month in Louisville.

The cabinet says the training will include welding safety requirements, injury and illness recordkeeping, electrical safety, fall protection and health hazards in construction.

The training will be held Feb. 23 to 26 at Builders Exchange in Louisville.

There will also be a discussion on the operations of the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Program, including enforcement and voluntary compliance services.

The Labor Cabinet says the courses are for employers and employees. Future training sessions are being planned for Lexington in April, Kentucky Dam Village in July, Blue Lick State Park in August and Louisville in October.
