Kentucky House OKs allowing electronic pull tabs
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky House has passed a bill that would allow electronic pull tabs at bingo halls.
Pull-tab bingo tickets have been staples of church festivals and other charity events across Kentucky for decades. The bill would allow charitable gambling venues to sell the electronic version of the game.
Supporters say electronic pull tabs are needed to try to reverse declines in charitable gambling receipts.
The measure passed the House on a 58-35 vote Tuesday. The bill will return to the Senate, which will consider changes made by the House.

The legislation is Senate Bill 33.
