Kentucky Football Adds Three New Assistants
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The University of Kentucky announced that it has hired three new assistant football coaches Tuesday afternoon, and two of them are familiar names for Wildcat fans. Former Wildcats Yusuf Corker and Bunchy Stallings join the staff, as well as Arkansas Pine-Bluff football alum Jack Ray
Yusuf Corker, a former safety at the school, played for the Wildcats from 2017-2021 and was a second team All-SEC member as a junior in 2020 After leaving Kentucky, Corker signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He also spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2022 and 2023 seasons
Bunchy Stallings, who played offensive line for Kentucky, played at the school from 2014-2018. In his senior season he earned honors such as a First Team All-American and a First Team All-SEC player. After graduating in 2018, Stallings went on to play two seasons in the NFL for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jack Ray was a two year starter at long snapper for Arkansas Pine-Bluff from 2017-18. After graduating college, Ray became a student assistant at the school. Prior to coming to Kentucky, Ray served a co-special teams coordinator at the University of Hawaii. Ray also has had coaching stops at Nevada and Washington State.
All three coaches will join the Kentucky Football staff for this upcoming season
