Kentucky Ends Fiscal Year With Surplus

        Kentucky ended its fiscal year in June with money in the bank.

        The state says there was a $48 million surplus.

        The Courier-Journal reports that Kentucky collected $9 billion in tax revenue.

         The state budget director says that the money the state brought in reflects economic recovery.
