Kentucky dominates Florida for back-to-back SEC wins

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky blew out Florida by a score of 38–7 inside Kroger Field on Saturday night. It marked the Wildcats’ second straight win, this time with the offense taking center stage.

The victory snapped Kentucky’s 10-game SEC home losing streak and was the Wildcats’ third straight home win over Florida at Kroger Field.

Quarterback Cutter Boley had a fantastic start for the Wildcats, completing 18 of 23 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns, with his lone interception coming late in the first half while trying to push the ball downfield.

Running back Seth McGowan carried the ball 22 times for 92 yards and two scores, while Dante Dowdell added seven carries for 102 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Kendrick Law once again led the team in receiving with six catches for 44 yards. In total, the Wildcats piled up 401 yards of offense against the Gators.

On defense, Kentucky made life difficult for Florida all night. Gators quarterback D.J. Lagway went 11-for-19 for 83 yards, throwing one touchdown and three interceptions—all in the first half—before being benched in the second. The Wildcats’ defense also forced three fumbles, recovering one, and held Florida to under 250 total yards.

Next week, Kentucky will host Tennessee Tech (10–0, 7–0) for Senior Day at Kroger Field. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network+.
