Kentucky disaster survivors receive $100M

FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky disaster survivors have received more than $100 million in FEMA aid this year to help cover losses from storms and floods.

That total includes $63 million for households impacted by February storms, $32 million for April’s severe weather, and more than $3 million for tornado damage in May.

FEMA funds help eligible residents with housing repairs, rental assistance, and other disaster-related expenses.

While the application period for these disasters has ended, FEMA says it continues to support survivors with recovery questions. For more information, residents can visit FEMA’s website or follow the agency on social media.
