Kentucky Co. Day School coach arrested on child porn charges

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) – The head varsity softball coach at Kentucky County Day School has been arrested after police say he distributed child pornography.

Media outlets report that Louisville Metro Police arrested 38-year-old Matthew Graves on Monday. An arrest citation says Graves exchanged pictures of young children engaged in sexual activities using the smartphone messaging app “Kik” multiple times in December 2014.

Police say Graves told detectives he sent the pictures to another Kik user.

According to Kentucky County Day School’s website, Graves is the school’s head softball coach and a physical education teacher.

Head of School Brad Lyman says Graves has been placed on administrative leave. He says the school’s wireless network blocks certain phone applications, including the Kik app police say Graves used.
