Kentucky Basketball lands Creighton graduate transfer Davion Mintz
LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – Just like signing top high school recruits, it’s starting to become the norm for Kentucky Men’s Basketball.
On Friday, the Cats received a commitment from one of the top graduate transfers in nation.
Creighton’s Davion Mintz announcing via social media he is coming to Lexington.

Unfortunately, last season Mintz sat out the entire season with an ankle injury.
As a junior, Mintz started all 35 games in the backcourt, averaging 9.7 points, 3.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 28.8 minutes per game.
With freshmen Terrence Clarke and BJ Boston coming in to score, Mintz will likely be asked to be a big-time perimeter defender a lot like Ashton Hagans.
Mintz shouldn’t have a problem in that role.
During that junior season, Mintz ranked second on the team with 40 steals, third with 60 free throws made and fourth with 43 three-pointers made.
Just like past graduate transfers like Reid Travis and Nate Sestina, Mintz will be available to play immediately.
