Kentucky baseball’s home opener postponed due to inclement weather

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Kentucky baseball will have to wait until next week to play its first game at home for the 2025 season.
Extreme weather conditions in the Lexington area have postponed the Wildcats’ 4 p.m. game versus Morehead State on Tuesday, February 18.
The matchup has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 26 at home with the same game time.
Starting on Tuesday evening, the ABC36 Storm Team is forecasting multiple inches of snow to fall in the Bluegrass through Thursday.
Kentucky is 1-1 after a two game series versus Lipscomb and will play a three-game weekend series at Belmont making for back to back road trips to Nashville to start the season.
