Kentucky Baseball makes NCAA Tournament for third season in a row

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Kentucky baseball is going to the NCAA Tournament for the third season in a row, a program first, after the Wildcats were given an at-large bid on Monday.
UK has been drawn to the Clemson Regional and will face West Virginia in the first game of the tournament for the Cats. That game starts at 12 p.m. on Friday, May 30 on ESPNU.
The 11-seeded Tigers play USC Upstate later that day at 6 p.m. on ACC Network. Kentucky is a number three seed after capping off a 29-24 season with an opening game loss to Oklahoma in the SEC Tournament last week.
Head Coach Nick Mingione’s team has beaten 11 teams who have made a regional this season as they played the 8th hardest schedule in the nation this year.
