Kentucky and Louisville men’s basketball matchup slated for Tuesday November 11

Teams will renew rivalry in Louisville this coming season

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Kentucky and Louisville will renew one of the marquee matchups in college basketball on Tuesday, November 11 at the KFC Yum! Center.

The news was announced by both teams on Wednesday and will be days before the State Farm Champions Classic game versus Michigan State in New York City, which is usually thought of as UK’s first big game of the season.

Last year, Louisville came to Lexington on December 14 and the year before the Cats travelled to Derby City on December 21. UK has a three-year winning streak versus the Cardinals dating back to 2020.

The 2021 matchup was postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests within the Louisville program.
