Kentuckians For The Commonwealth making sure everyone gets to vote

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Kentuckians For The Commonwealth is making sure that everyone gets the chance to vote on Election Day.

“I voted!”

Residents at Connie Griffith Manor share why voting is so important.

“It’s still important for us as people of this world because maybe someday things will get a little bit better with the people we put in there.”

“It’s very important to vote, other countries don’t have that right, we do.”

Austin Sims, Councilmember Tayna Fogle and members of Kentuckians For The Commonwealth helped organize a way for these residents to cross Jefferson Street, so they could vote at Harrison Elementary School.

“We escort our history across the street to Harrison Elementary so that they can vote.”

Making a trip across the street might be easy for some, but for these folks it takes a little extra effort, which they told me they were willing to give so they can have their voices heard.
