Kentuckians encouraged to engage with General Assembly
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – As the General Assembly starts its interim committee meetings June 1, the public has many ways to get involved in the State Capitol’s action.
June 1 will be the beginning of a six-month period where interim joint committees formed of Senate and House members will look over and discuss various issues facing Kentucky to prepare for next year’s legislative session.
The Kentucky General Assembly website contains multiple features for citizens to engage with. There, you can see the General Assembly’s weekly schedule, tune in to live coverage of legislative committee meetings and view contact information for senators and representatives. Visitors of the website can also learn about the legislative process, view informational materials on topics being considered by committees and request to testify at committee meetings.
To share feedback on an issue with lawmakers, contact the General Assembly’s Message Line at 1-800-372-7181. Those with hearing loss can use Kentucky Relay by dialing 7-1-1.
