Kentuckian to sign national anthem at GOP convention tonight

CLEVELAND, Oh. (WTVQ) – Marlana VanHoose, of Johnson County, will sing the “Star-Spangled Banner” in prime time tonight at the opening of the GOP Convention in Cleveland.

She is expected to perform around 8:10pm.

VanHoose has been blind since birth and has cerebral palsy.

She has sung the national anthem before numerous UK sporting events.

She also sang the national anthem at an NBA Finals game last year that was seen on ABC 36.
