Kansas man arrested and extradited for trying to purchase Kentucky child
FRANKFORT, KY. (WTVQ)- According to the office of Attorney General Andy Beshear, a Kansas man who attempted to buy a Kentucky child will be extradited to Kentucky to face charges.
48 year-old Ernest Merle John Anziana of Fedonia, Kansas tried to buy a child for $250 in exchange for drugs last week.
Anziana was arrested by the the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office in Kansas following an investigation by Beshear’s office.
Anziana’s is being charged with five counts of unlawful use of electronic means originating or received within the Commonwealth of Kentucky to induce a minor for sex.
He is also being charge with one count of promoting human trafficking with a victim under the age of 18.
Beshear’s Cyber Crimes Unit obtained information that Anziana was trying to solicit sex from a Kentucky child and offered to pay $250 and trade 7 grams of methamphetamine.
This prompted an investigation with the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to charges in Kentucky, Anziana is also charged with solicitation to commit human trafficking in Greenwood County.
